Being in good health is simple - but not always easy!
There are five pillars of good health:
Nutrition
Exercise or physical activity
Sleep
Stress management
Environment
Many diseases begin with an imbalance in one of these areas, and therefore treatment that is targeted at correcting these underlying causes is key.
This is why in a holistic functional medicine approach, I stress on identifying and correcting nutritional deficiencies and imbalances first, as nutrients - macronutrients, micronutrients, vitamins, and minerals - are the building blocks on which our systems function. Sometimes, you will find that you already derive health benefits just by correcting these deficiencies.

Start with the basics: Eat well. Sleep early. Don't take on too much stress.
